For latest areas of emerging research - free online lectures are available - these are posted six months after the event.
The ASD Guidelines do not recommend biomedical approaches to ASD - the reason is simply the quantity of papers published in the areas of interest - however there are many emerging areas that are promising and clinically can for some relieve the negative symptoms of ASD (sleep issues, pain, focus, social engagement) - these areas of development are non harmful - for most children and teenagers they will become healthier and as parents you may find, as we did, that our family benefits from learning to live in healthier ways - from the latest DAN 2010 conference areas that are emerging are from Dr Woody McGinnis on Brain Stem hypothesis - and Dr Jim Adams presents a short lecture that is another area of interest to many families and clinicians.
What a wonderful tool the Internet is ................ please note every day with our typical children we make decisions and judgments directing their education and health, what organisations like DAN do is enable us to have the broad knowledge to decide what is best for our ASD children/teenagers - ........... http://www.autism.com/pro_webcasts.asp
